I am certainly not a wine expert and I'm pretty sure that one million dollars is a high price tag for one bottle. But this wine is different: this is wine that has been aged on the International Space Station.
Christie's is doing a private sale on one of the twelve bottles of Pétrus 2000 that were sent to the ISS in November of 2019. The wine just returned to Earth after being in space for over 400 days and now it's up for sale. Christie's expects that the bottle of wine will sell for around one million dollars.
I wonder if this will be a new trend with more wines or liquor being aged in space. A barrel of whiskey that was at the Space Station for over a year? I'm sure people would be all over that!
