Jello Biafra returned to the stage for a live performance just months after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke.
The former Dead Kennedys frontman not only performed on Saturday (June 27) at Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, but he also served as host of TentacleFest, organized by his Alternative Tentacles Records label.
The punk icon played on the song "Make It Make Sense," alongside the band Wheelchair Sports Camp.
"Not only was TentacleFest an amazing show, it also featured the return of Jello to the stage," the label captioned a clip of Biafra performing. Watch it here.
The former frontman of the influential punk band suffered a hemorrhagic stroke in March, reportedly caused by high blood pressure. At the time, Biafra, born Eric Reed Boucher, issued a statement on Instagram via his record label, Alternative Tentacles.
The rock group originally formed in California in 1978, going on to become a leading act in the American punk music scene, before breaking up in 1986.
In 2001, the band reunited, replacing Biafra with Brandon Cruz on lead vocals.
