Kanye West and Jay Z's 2011 joint album Watch The Throne could have been way more controversial if guided entirely by Yeezy's vision. During an interview with the podcast A Waste of Time, former Grantland publisher and media pioneer David Cho shared an anecdote that Kanye originally wanted every song title on the project to include the N-word.
In Cho's words, Kanye's said, "we’re going to put the n-word in every single title of this album, so everyone has to say it and confront it,’” after Hov wanted "Ni**as in Paris" to be titled "Ball So Hard". Jay Z was clearly not feeling it, and that song ended up being the only track with the n-word in the title.
